The graphics below show the Solar Saddle brackets and saddles mounted under the top rail, outside of the pool. Followed by mounting instructions.
The picture above is an image of what you would see if you were on the
outside of the pool and looking at the bracket mounted under the top rail from
the front of the pool. What is shown from the top down are the bolts going down
through the toprail then the bracket and the nuts placed on the bolts.
Next the Solar Saddle is placed in the bracket and the mounting pin is place
through the bracket and the saddle completeing the mounting of the bracket to
the pool and the Solar Saddle to the bracket.
Tools requires; a 1/4" metal drill bit, a drill, a screwdriver, and a small adjustable wrench. The key to mounting the accessory is to evenly space the saddles, to allow 2 1/2 to 3 feet of the cover to extend over/past the outside holders, refer to the picture page. A Solar Saddle set includes 5 saddles and all mounting hardware. Hardware includes, 5 mounting brackets, 20 stainless steel flat pan head bolts, (10 for those with Metal toprails and 10 for those with Vinyl (PVC) toprails), 5 hex nuts, and five mounting pins. The first step in is to locate where you want to place the saddles to store your cover. The second step is to mount the center bracket. Place the bracket under the top rail close to the side wall, see the drawings above. Use bracket holes as a template and drill the 1/4" holes. Two holes are required per bracket. This does not hurt your pool, better reels require drilling eight holes. Now mount the outside saddle brackets. Measure around the outside of the pool approximately 10 feet, each way from the center bracket, and mount the outside brackets. Now mount the last two brackets between the center and outside brackets. Next mount the saddles to the brackets with the pins, your done. If you can stay out of the pool the project should take less than 20 minutes, it really is easy. The holders extend from the side of a pool about 18" and down the edge of the pool about 19". Note: If your pool is 28 foot or larger you just fold the solar cover back on top of the outside saddles, or you may want to purchase single saddle kits that are readly available.
